Our office has always been happy to work with patients covered by dental insurance. We think insurance is a great incentive to maintain a vital level of dental health. However, when your dental insurance turns out to be less wonderful than you thought, it can be disappointing and frustrating. As much time as we spend trying to maximize our patients benefits, we spend even more explaining that insurance companies don't see dentistry the same way patients and dentists do. We wish this were otherwise. We are dealing with your health, so we are ethically bound to do the best we can for you. We cannot make a better case for ourselves than that. Please remember your insurance companies are in business to make money and they dictate your coverage - we don't.
We will be happy to file your insurance claims for you with the understanding that you are ultimately responsible for any and all charges, even what the insurance company refuses to pay. Your co-insurance is due at the time of service. If you have any questions concerning your dental benefits, we will be happy to go over your insurance booklet with you. We do not have booklets on file so it is always a good idea to bring your dental book with you. It is important that you provide us with any and all correct dental insurance information so that we may file your claim within the first 24 hours of treatment. We use current American Dental Association coding for correct reporting of procedures.
